"Java Error" messages displayed or You are taken unexpectedly to this page.
Reason
Your personal computer has an old browser version installed which does not support JavaScript.
Solution
Upgrade to the latest version of your browser. You can check the version of your browser under Help/About menu.
You receive a "404 - Not found" error message.
Reason
Your company's Internet firewall does not allow Java scripts. This error will only occur on specific pages within the www.nieuwpoort.nl site that use JavaScript.
Solution
This is not usually a problem if you connect to the Internet via an ISP (Internet Service Provider). However, if you are accessing the internet via using your corporate internet connection, talk to your Information Technology area.
JavaScript is disabled on your browser.
Reason
This error will only occur on specific pages within the http://hrih.net site that use JavaScript.
Solution
Enable JavaScript on your browser. This will usually be an option under "User Preferences". Instructions on enabling JavaScript should be found in your browser's Help facility.
Missing pages or system overload.
Reason
This error usually occurs immediately.
Solution
Record the URL of the page you are trying to open. Then contact HRIH.net via e-mail

HTTPS
Reason
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) either does not have the https port enabled or has altered it via a proxy server, therefore your internet connection failed after selecting "Register here" and you have not been able to progress to the next screen.
Solution
You will need to call your ISP and check with them if they have https enabled, and obtain advice from them as to the solution to this problem (your service provider may instruct you to change your default port number to allow https to work).
You receive a "500" error message
Reason
Internet congestion. This error usually occurs after your browser has timed-out after several seconds.
Solution
Try again later.
You receive a dialogue box warning that your digital certificate is out of date
Reason
A Digital Certificate allows you to establish secure communications between your browser and a server. However all digital certificates have an expiry date. After this date, browsers with expired certificates will display this additional dialogue box. However, you should still be able to establish a secure connection.
Solution
Update your browser to the latest version. This will have a new digital certificate in it. You can check the version of your browser under Help/About menu.
I can't see the page
Page fails to load completely and appears to freeze on screen
Reason
Internet Explorer Version 4.51 or below for the Macintosh has a known "bug" which causes this problem.
Solution
We recommend you use the latest version of this browser, available from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/mac/download/default.asp. Microsoft has also provided an FAQ on its most recent browser release for Macintosh.
